Carlos Casely is the Head Coach and Director of Casely Tennis Academy. His background in education matches his desire to help young people from various backgrounds to reach their highest potential on and off the court.
In teaching and guiding players, Casely applies his 22 years of coaching experience backed by his academic training as a Sports Psychologist to provide players with the tools they need for success.
Casely who was previously the Head Tennis Coach at Division I Nationally Ranked program Florida International University has also been honored with the award of Outstanding Florida Instructor by the USTA in 1999 and has been a certified instructor with the USPTA since 1994, and has extensive junior and professional playing and coaching experience at all levels of tennis
Casely has been heavily involved with the recruiting and building of the 3-time defending Sun Belt Conference champion Golden Panthers and has had more than 40 of his amateur students accept NCAA Division I scholarships over the last 10 years. Casely has been successful on the international stage as well, where he has coached players to 58 titles at the junior and professional levels.
While Casely was at Florida International University he became Head Coach of what was
arguably the best of the Golden Panthers athletic program for the last several years. The FIU Tennis team is became a 3-time defending Sun Belt Conference champion and made 5 appearances in the NCAA Tournament play in 7 years. Annually ranked among the top 50 programs in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), FIU reached a ranking of #22 in the national rankings.
